Red Dachshund

I had started working on a Dachshund over the summer, then set him aside since he wasn’t a commissioned piece. I primed him and then thought perhaps I should post his “ready-to-be-personalized” photo in case someone would like him personalized to their own Doxie’s colouring. Of course, once I get started on painting, I just can’t seem to stop, so he wound up as a Little Red Doxie!

20″ nose to tip of tail and 13″ high. This guy is in the miniature category. Unless sold before then, he will be part of Viv Reugger’s special exhibition in March 2014 at Stirling Art Studios on Broadway in Dunedin.

Daisy and Dub finished

The pair of Cocker Spaniels is finished! Thank you to Pat for allowing me to create these memorial pieces of her beloved fur family ♥

Pat’s husband’s little Buddy (a/k/a Dub) measures 15″ high by 11″ wide and Pat’s girl Daisy measures 21″ long by 12″ high.

Cocker Spaniel – Daisy

Daisy was a friend’s beloved Buff Cocker Spaniel who was her sidekick everywhere. Still some more work to go, but here are some progress shots:

Valentine’s Day every day

I love how Nemo has been acting, and even more so lately. The more I work from home, the more adoring he is getting – not just those super happy moments when I come home at the end of a day or after going outside to get the mail out of the box, but on and off all day. He is such a huggy dog, it can’t help but make a girl feel good that she’s so loved by her faithful dog.

Back when I worked in mega-offices for twenty years, I always hated that poor Philphil (may he rest in peace) spent so much time at home alone waiting for me; now, I’m at a point in my life where I can spend nearly all day working here at home with Nemo nearby and be available to hug him whenever he wants – which is often.
