Nemo and crew

MyNemo was the world’s cutest puppy and has grown into the world’s most handsome dog. He is shiny black, currently 115 lbs and was born on July 5, 2010.

Then there’s Sparky. He was supposed to be a Chihuahua, but he kept growing. There’s Jack Russell and maybe some Beagle in there, I think. He’s not as playful as Nemo, but he is the same size as Phoofie.

Old gal Sadie the Yellow, or rather Orange, Lab is still with us. She’s lived in four states and mothered Sparky when he was a baby. Phoofie’s much larger brother, Benny, didn’t make it to Florida with us, but his enormousness and eccentricity are still inspirations for our cat designs.

We had several chickens at the last house and the two Japanese Bantams, Pearl and Ruby, made it to Florida with us. The Americauna, Fiona, thought she was a rooster and went to live with a little girl in 4-H before we moved.

Other rescued and adopted pets we have had include the Rhode Island Red, Olivia, who lived in two states with us before dying of old age at 7. Then there was Shermie-doodle, a black Maine Coon cat mix who was very vocal, more so than Phoofie and Benny. He was the inspiration for me when I began doing embroidery pet portraits using Husqvarna design software. He was a cool cat.

And finally, the cat that started it all for me: Philphil, the World’s Most Handsome Cat. He was half Siamese and the most vocal of all the cats before and after him. He lived to the ripe old age of 19 and a half. Besides being the cat of my life, he was the most cuddly one ever. Although Phoofie resembles Philphil in tuxedo colouring, the Phoofster does not have the cuddle gene. 😦 I never thought I would be a dog person after Philphil, but MyNemo has completely won me over.

Thanks for visiting our gang’s page and letting me share my fam with ya’ll. Just because some of them aren’t with me any longer doesn’t mean that memories of them don’t still inspire me!
