Dogtoberfest 2014

Had a great time with the humans here in Dogedin. Not only did Charlie and I stop in to the kissing booth at Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue’s hot pink tent, but the Doxie sculptures were auctioned off to help raise money for Suncoast Animal League’s support. Here I am with Dr. Cal Hay of Tampa Surgical Services who went home with the Doxies. Great time as always!

Dog Whisperer

Nemo loves television shows that have dogs barking and cats meowing. Accordingly, my mother humours them with Animal Planet and NatGeo programs, such as this one on the Dog Whisperer the other night. The dog on the program was a big black dog who was Lab and Mastiff mix and looked remarkably like the ‘Mo.

Pucker up!

Yesterday, Nemo and I went to Dogtoberfest here in town. Mr. Sociable was busy greeting all the people who came up to him as well as a whole lot of other dogs with mutual sniffing ensuing. Shot this cute photo of him at the tent of Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue. My dog is such a hunk, isn’t he? He could have made lots of money, but alas, we had other booths to grace.

Btw, this is Nemo’s new FB photo (hee hee heeee)!!

Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue

Hey all, Nemo here. Stopped downtown last night to the Dunedin Wine & Art Walk to visit friends at Pawlicious Poochie Pet Rescue. Of course, the paparazzi snapped up my photo with Jaime of PPPR. It’s hard being such a celebrity, but I do adore all of my fans and fellow celebs out there! That’s my assistant tethered off to the side whom I booted out of my limelight. If you live in the St. Pete/Tampa area, I encourage you to support Jaime’s animal rescue efforts. We need more good humans like her.

Boxer pair – Hoot and Pete

It’s been a fast four weeks working on this life-sized pair, but they are now ready to go to their forever home with Rocky.

Hoot was a brindled Boxer mix and Pete was a snow white Boxer. The impression I got from the photographs provided is that Hoot was a kind of goofy, vocal and huggy kind of dog and Pete appears to have had the patience of a saint, long-suffering and mellow. All dogs have their bursts of bounciness, but Pete appears to have been a champion napper. Both of the boys clearly loved their little buddy, Rocky, from the snuggle photos I saw. I hope that their personalities come through and that they help keep alive for their owner the memories of his beloved pets.
