Feed Your Feline Obsession – art piece

Took an end table this week and transformed it into a cat fancier’s collector piece. The unit features two drawers labeled to facilitate orderly filing of your kitty’s toys and treats as well as several dangling cat toys mounted on the exterior of the chest for your cats’ amusement. Nine cat breeds are featured on the top and sides as follows:

Maine Coon Cat, Seal Point Siamese, Calico, Tortoiseshell, Persian, Grey Tabby, Orange Tabby, Black Domestic Short Hair with white snow shoes, and Domestic Short Hair in white with Brown Tabby markings.

Seal Point Siamese

Around ten or eleven years ago, I adopted two Siamese cats from Siamese Rescue in Locust Dale, Virginia. The first was a young blue point. The other was an elderly, 18-year old seal point named Princess whose owner had died and the family “donated” the unwanted ancient cat to the shelter. Princess was blind and had the start of renal failure. She lived out her remaining days in a warm, cozy crib in the living room where she could be near us and hear the tv. Princess lived to the ripe old age of 21.

This apple head sealy sits 12″ high in the typically regal Siamese pose.
